Natrona County Master Gardeners
What do we do?
Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who share a love of gardening, an enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to helping others. Below are just a few of the learning opportunities and events we offer throughout the year.
The Master Gardener training program expands your knowledge of plants and their environment, provides hand-on experience and an opportunity to help others. Your experience not only will be rewarding, but you will also gain a huge family of friends along the way.
Community Gardens
In an effort to further develop the local gardening community, the Natrona County Master Gardeners provide and maintain a community garden area on the grounds of the Agricultural Resource and Learning Center. Members of the community that are interested in gardening are encouraged to get more information about renting a garden plot each spring.
Annual Plant Sale
Each year in May the Natrona County Master Gardeners host their annual spring plant sale. Most plants are grown on site in their greenhouse, some are donated from individual Master Gardeners and the community. Want to know about upcoming events?

Garden Gait Tour
Our goal is to educate AND inspire you to Get Growing. The Garden Gait Tour usually takes place in July and highlights local resident gardens to showcase Casper gardeners accomplishments and the challenges they've overcome. Want to get notified about upcoming events?
*We are taking a year off from Garden Gait in 2024. Join the email list above to be notified when plans are set for our next one!
Plant Help Desk
Master Gardener volunteers are often available at the Agricultural Resource & Learning Center to help with your gardening questions. They can help by conducting research, answering questions in person, or coordinating a yard call. To get help stop by during office hours with your plant, bug or soil sample. Volunteer hours vary.
Spring Conference
Each year the Natrona County Master Gardeners host an annual spring conference. One of the many opportunities we like to share with the public to learn about topics ranging from composting to optimizing your harvest, from pollinator gardens to mushrooms...and everything in between. Want to be notified about upcoming events?
Farmers Market
Wyoming is known for its short growing season but starting in July each year, local growers get to share their surplus at the Master Gardeners Farmers Market. For fresh local produce, baked goods and more, stop by and visit. Are you a vendor interested in a booth?
